Rocco Sifredi: Acting super talents and porn chips
The food company "Amica Chips" launched a year ago a controversial ad to stimulate the sales of its star product: the chips, precisely. For that reason it bet on a very important face of the international cinema although it comes from a sector that is not well renowned by the critics. The actor, Rocco Siffredi, is the best Italian representative in the porn world and he is best known not only for his acting talents but also for the fact that he is well equipped. It is important to remind to the Italians that the entire ad refers to the duality of the term “patata” which points out the tuber and the female genitals at the same time.

It was an immediate success: The sales rocketed together with the controversies. Catholic associations of heads of households brought about a scandal: such an explicit ad that offended the morality and perverted the kids. After a few weeks of being aired, the ad was prohibited. Nevertheless, some viewers who have appreciated the ad did not remain silent: Demonstrations in favor of the return of the feared spot of Mr. Siffredi were multiplied through the press and the Internet. Finally, after such clamor and debate, it was decided that a reduced, mute, censored but very clear version of the ad related to Amica Chips because everybody knew the original version.
